April 24, 2007 - USCIS Announces that U.S. Masters Degree Exemption H1B Cap Still Not Reached The USCIS announced that as of April 24, 2007, the U.S. Masters Degree Exemption H1B Cap still has not been reached. 18,747 petitions have been received against the 20,000 cap. Specifically, 7,460 petitions have been approved, 10,885 have been receipted in and remain pending, and 402 are yet to be receipted in. The USCIS will continue to accept new FY 2008 Masters Cap Petitions until the 20,000 cap is reached. Return to News
